For    me  WLAC  is   the  only organisation  for  Portuguese   speaking  migrants  that  works  for  the  community.  I  have  not  seen any  other  Portuguese   organisation  working  like  WLAC.  The  way  I  was  helped  with  my  benefit  case  it  is  just wonderful.  Your  staff  are  so  friendly  amnd  patient.  I  hope   that  you  continue  to  exist.

If it  was  not  for  your  lot,  I mean  WLAC  i  do  not    know  what  would  happed  to  me  and my  children. It  is  thanks to  you  that   I  managed  to  get  private  accommodation  when  the council   discharge  its  duties  of  helping  me    as  I  did  not  pass  habitual  residence  test.  Being  new  in  the  country with  no  English, it  was  tough.   many,  many  thanks.

I  was  very  pleased  with  the  services  provided  to  me  and  my  family  by  your  staff.  Through  you,  we  found  a  new  accommodation  after  staying  in  a   an overcrowding   temporary  accommodation   for  4  years.  With  your   help  the  council  managed  to  rehouse  us  to  a  better  accommodation.   Now  that  I  know  you  exist,  I  will  always  come  to  your  centre  for  advice  and  assistance.   God   Bless  You  all.

As    soon  as  I  heard  that  WLAC  opened  an  outreachwork  office  in  Stockwell,  south  London,  I  was  very  happy  and  said  to  myself, at  last   we  have    a  Portuguese  Speaking  Advice  Centre  that  we  longed  for.   The  following  week  of  WLAC  opening,  my  husband  lost  is  job.  I went  to  them  and  we  were  welcomed  with  open  arms.  Your  orgainsation  helped  my  husband  apply  for  JSA,  housing  benefit  and council tax  benefit.    Thanks    to  you  that  we  managed  to  apply  for  child  tax  credit  which  we  were unaware  of.
